break-in (and not engine break in)
#23
i just got mine broken into in a parking garage and i have limo all the way around and they couldn't have seen anything in my truck but just the dark tint itself is something they look for since its easier to hide inside the truck and they can take their time and 9 times out of 10 someone with limo tint is hiding something in their car. I learned the hard way from them jamming a screw driver in my lock, pushing it back and opening it. I shouldve just left the door open.

My old 65 got broken into while i was in high school. The smashed the front window, took the stereo, amp, subs, and speakers...So...you figure a good 1000 worth of damage...
Back to topic, I know F150 and F350's are the #1 and #2 stolen vehicles in my city. F250 is #5. I live on the border so its very common for them to just take the whole truck to chop shops and sell the stuff in mexico. I have an alarm with built in kill switch so that if you dont turn the alarm off via code, the kill switch is still engaged...I know there are ways to stand near a truck and steal a code when someone pushes the button so im going to be installing another kill switch as well.

Let me say this
The jin jamers and plates behind the handles will not always work
They have tools that slide down between the window frame on the door and the truck. IT has a little balloon that pushes the door away some and the tool goes inside the truck and is use to unlock the door my the handle, or lock button. only takes about 1 minute if you are good. it will work on 99.9% of cars on the road.
the alarm with the fuel shut off and ignition block is just a waste of money on trucks with the transponder key. if you do not have the right transponder key in it will not start.
Lo jack is now useless, they just rip out the control unit.
"the club" locks are useless all someone has to do is make one cut beside it with a set of bolt cutters and bend the sering wheel some and the club will come right off.
My point is if someone really wants your ride they will get it.
What everyone should do is, make sure your insurance will cover the break in. Park in well light places that have a lot of people that is always around. the darker and more isolated the better the chance of a breaking.. Do not keep a lot in your truck. the more you have in the truck the more tempting it is to break in.

little tip... dont leave a gps programmed with your adress in your car along with you garage opener. my moms friends car got broke into and thats all the stole but when she got home all the valuable stuff was gon. gives a theif plenty of time wen they can hide out inside without any alarms.
