Unhappy Break In

My 2006 F150 FX4 was broke into last night. The punks cleaned me out. I can't figure out how they did it. Nothing is bent or broken. Any ideas on how they got in?

I'm not sure about Fords, but I know in my town, there were alot of "break-ins" for Dodges. Someone had a scanner that could read your keyless code when you used it. they sit at the local store, wait for you to use it to lock your door, then find out where you park it for the night. It happened to us. Although they did get my radar detector, I got the last laugh when they stole all the CD's out of it. Christmas music crap including Alvin and the Chipskunks Christmas. LOL. Those were never reported.

Anyone with a slim Jim or a decent pickset can make quick business of a car door with little to no damage. I've seen a door slim jim'd in about 5 seconds flat, and picked in under 20.

If it's not a keyless entry, a person can use a screwdriver and jamb it into the lock to push on the rod that pops the lock. There's a device called the "jimmyjammer" that can be installed to prevent this.

x2

My wife's f150 was broken into at her work one day. Flat head screw driver into the drivers door lock, quick pop on the end and the lock pushes in, use the screw driver to turn either way, and voila, unlocked door. Cops came and said the f150 and f250 are some of the easiest truck to break into and they get a ton of calls on them...
