Default Brakes and rotors what to get?

I did some searching on here but I want new opinions. My front brakes and rotors are toast, I want something that will last a long time and stop me fast when I need to.

Brakes were my first mod. I picked up a set of powerstop pads and sloted & drilled rotors off Ebay for $275...... If you pull a tow at all this is a must. My truck stops hard by itself and almost as fast as a stock truck with 5500lbs behind it.

I tow sometimes how long have you had them on? My back brakes are fine but I was thinking about just changing everything at once.

If i'm not pulling a trailer and have to get on the brakes, it feels like the back tires are about to come off the ground. My truck weighs 6,800lbs and stops like a 3,500 lb sports car.

I replaced my OEM pads with Wagner Thermo Quite pads. Still have the stock rotors. I think these pads lack the bite of the original pads. The brake dust is negligible which I like a lot, but the stopping force is not what I had hoped for.

You will get a lot of different suggestions on this subject, but my $.02 is what I have ready to go on my 05. I went with the EBC Yellow Stuff brake pads and the Baer DecelaRotor brake rotors. Had both on Navigator and it was an excellent braking package and much improved over OEM. One drawback is they are little on the pricey side compared to other rotors and pads.

When i do replace my pads, i'll go with Hawk........ They are pricy, but when you concider how much most will spend on go mods, and how important stoping is. They are more of an investment than anything else.

I think I'm wanting to give your setup a try the only issue is I need them on next week because I'll be towing and my front brakes are horrible so I'll see if I can get them from a place around here next day.
