Brakes
Planning to replace brakes on my 2007 Ford F150 4x2 Super Crew. It has 69K and brakes have never been done. I have 2 questions and I was wondering if anyone can answer?
1. Suggestions for brake pads brands and type, planning to keep truck for 3 or 4 years top . I do not do any towing, and I drive maybe 5K a year (City Traffic).
2. What is the proper torque for both front and read brakes.? I have spent hrs. searching online , watching videos and every one has different numbers.

1. I use a power stop brake kit, pads and rotors. I like them much better than stock.
2. Pad's don't have bolts, you must mean the calipers. I used whatever value was in my Hayne's manual.

I usually pick up Wagner on Amazon for about the same price as the off brand at Orielly.
Same goes for me on torque. Check manual. Otherwise just make sure its reall dern tight. Is there enough room for a torque wrench in there?

I would just run down to the local chain auto parts store and buy whatever lifetime pads were on sale.

I was just thinking theres not room for a torque wrench behind the calipers. I usually just tighten as much as i can. Fwiw, i just noticed Wagners are made in the USA.

Wagner Thermoquiets from Amazon here. Also went with the Centric hub conversions...whose bearings crapped out prematurely. Still pissed about that...😡
