so i had grinding on my rotors and i thought that my brakes might have been metal on metal or even that the rotors needed to be replaced...i take it to the dealership that i work at because i have factory warranty, and it turns out that the dumbass who owned the truck before me tried replacing the brakes at one time and put on the wrong pads!!! my mechanic tells me that he saw the pads hanging in the caliper leaning on the rotors...that was what was making the rubbing noise this whole time!!! in the end, i got the pads and rotors replaced at no cost because the dealership didnt catch it when they looked over the truck before selling it to me

 

so much for the 169 point safety inspection
