I need to re-install my brake controller that I took out of my 97 into my 07

does anyone have mounting location suggestions?

pics would be nice.

 

I don't have any pics but mine is right above my gas pedel perhaps a little to the right of that there was an area of expesed steel that I added a single screw hole utilizing an existing one for the second hole.

 

I used the left knee panel to mount my brake controller and fog light switch. I figured that I could easily and economically replace that panel if I were to sell the truck (not likely). I will see if I can get a picture later this morning. Also makes it easier to reach to manually apply (trailer sway) or adjust on the move.

Here is where mine is mounted. It might even be the place where the Factory Ford one mounts. There's a metal tab behind the dash at your left knee.

 

Heres mine mounted under the dash by the right leg.

i didnt think there was a factory one.... i know they game with the plug and wiring harness if your truck game with a towing package...
