Brake shift solenoid problem
Hi All,I have a 2004 f150 4x4 with a column shift and had a lock out a few weeks ago,I replaced the brake light switch and it worked fine for a day or so then i would turn the key and nothing,no lock out but nothing at the starter,i moved the wires at the solenoid on the starter and it fired, used the test light at the solenoid when it would not turn over and no power at the starter, all fuses good, thoughts are brake shift solenoid or key ignition.thoughts
Welcome to the forum. Does it crank but not start? If so what does the little red light up by the windshield do when you try to start it. This will tell you if its possible the key (PATS) system. If that is normal and you do in fact have a crank no start condition the FPDM is a common culprit. Let us know a little more.
