Default brake - rear end problems

Soo I replaced all the calipers ,rotors and brakes 6 months ago. I notice the right rear is hanging up and dragging figured another faulty caliper.
Before I got home it was leaking brake fluid and pretty much no brakes.
Pulled wheel to inspect rotor paper thin and outside pad metal to metal. Bought rotor pads and caliper.
Got home pulled it apart. When trying to remove rotor whole axle came out ! (Guess that explains the outside pad )

Question is ...is this a c clip type rear or am I gonna find big problems ?

This happened before. Rear end went out Ford fixed it under warranty. A week later axel was coming out they fixed it. (Other side )

While waiting on someone to bring me a drain pan figured I'd pick your brains.

Yes this is a c lip style axle. Both the 8.8 and 9.75 are c clip type.I am guessing you broke a c clip.

Yup you called it. Got it all apart and found enough of the C clip to make a dime.
The gear on that side a little tore up but I think it will be alright.

Now to get the C clip ! Guessing dealer only item. Could be fun.

Most likely a dealer only part. Luckily, it's not too bad of a fix. I've done a few out on the trails with my Jeep (and several others) without any problems. At least your axle didn't slide out while you were driving... Not fun.

Yeah I couldn't believe I didn't feel that one. I felt it last time but this time I was pulling a 16 ft trailer loaded so I guess I just thought it was the trailer.
That could have been a mess because without the C clip the only thing holding the axel from coming out is the two caliper bolts. And they are small bolts.
