Default Brake Controller Mounting??

'05 F150 STX 4X4. Where do you mount the Brake Controller? Very little space near the driver. If anybody has pictures of their install I would appreciate it.

I don't have a picture. I'll try to get one, but the MRS has the truck today.

If you look under the dash just above and to the right of the parking brake pedal, there's a small metal tab or plate. I have mine mounted right there. I thought it would be too close to my feet when I get in and out of the truck, but it's really not in the way at all, and easy to reach while driving.

Thanks, I will look at that location. My F250 has a completely different layout than the 150 so I was kind of stumped. I saw where one guy positioned it to the right of the computer plug but it would be a chore to get it screwed into the bracket there since it would be tight on the right side.

Mine is mounted under the dash near the center of the truck. There is also a metal tab on that side.

Mine is located just like rays. I removed one screw from the dash slipped the bracket between the dash mount tab and the steel dash support. Drilled a second hole. worked out great!!!

I removed the false plate where the milage/info bottuns would be if i had them to the right of the steering collom and flush mounted mine in there. I got lucky with the sizing of the controller i only had to shave a little bit off of the hole, and only inside, not the face, so it looks factory now. Kind of like the 09 factory one. Works great.
