Default bought a used edge evolution having an error on installation

Hi I just installed an evo tuner i got used off of ebay but I get an f4.3 error when trying to program the truck. I notice when I plug it in it says that it's in level 3 program mode. think the previous owner should of reset it before unplugging?

Sounds like he didn't set his truck back to stock. So you either have to get him to do that or use it as a paper weight. It can only be programmed to 1 truck at a time. I'd be getting ahold of him.

if the fleabay seller wont/cant do that for you, send it back to edge. be about 100 bucks (i think), but they will reset it to stock for you.

and ya, you have to send it in. they cant do it with the software thing they use.

Did you use paypal for payment? If so, I'd get them involved.

I buy/sell on eBay all the time. You would want to open a dispute in the Resolution Center, item received not as described and give all info. Do it sooner then later, can always close it later if seller works it out.

^^^+1 read your Ebay and pay pal gaurentee file a dispute and pay pal will charge it back to the seller and credit your acct when it is returned and in some cases they even cover return shiping.

Yes, if you win the eBay dispute process, which is definately oriented to the BUYER, they will reimburse you shipping as well. I've bought a good number of used tuners over the years off ebay and only once had to open a dispute case for a locked unit, as Im very careful to check prior, and I won it with zero issues.
