Default Blower motor issue

2004 Ford f150 heritage, 5.4l v8. 3rd owner.

I am not getting power to the blower motor, blower speed selector switch, or resistor. I have checked all relays and fuses, all are good. Replaced resistor, no effect. Blower motor turns when hooked up to direct power.

There is no power to the brown/yellow wire coming out of the harness attached to the fuse box in the passenger kick panel.

The fuse box has been replaced by the previous owner. The replacement fuse box Part # is 22022693824.

Thank you in advance!

At my wits end, can anyone help?

if your truck really is a heritage, then it is effectively and 2003. you’ll be much better off posting in the 10th gen forum. you could ask a moderator to move this thread if you wanted.

i don’t know 10th gens, but in 11th gen there were different fuse box configurations for different model/trim levels. not sure if that could be an issue for you, but might be worth investigating to ensure you have compatible part/box.

Awesome, thank you for the information. Will try to get the thread moved to 10th gen.

This page from the 2004 Ford Wiring Diagrams manual might still be helpful.

Thank you for the diagram, will definitely try to make use of it to try to trace the issue.

Upon further investigation, the 10th digit of the VIN is a 4, so it should be a 2004, not heritage. My apologies for the confusion.

More info, test light only comes on in the top vertical slot of the blower motor relay. Is that pin #30 and supplied by the 30 amp fuse? The bottom horizontal slot does not have power. Can't fit test light into any of the other slots. I am a total beginner when it comes to electrical issues.
This is the fuse box in the vehicle. Brown/yellow wire connects to the lower harness on the far right of photo shown. No power there. All other wires in the harness have power.

does body of your truck look like a 05-08 model OR does it look like a 03 and older model? that’s the best test/determination.

edit/add: in case you aren’t familiar yet. 2004 model year was a new gen/body style. BUT they had left overs of old trucks and they still sold them in 2004 as 2004 model year but designated them as “heritage” models….. creating unnecessary confusion. hope that makes sense.

Definitely looks like the '05 to me. There is a photo of the truck as my profile pic.

the 10th digit of the VIN is a 4, so it should be a 2004, not heritage.
It is the same for BOTH.

The '04 heritage would have been built in either Mexico or Canada and the FIRST digit of the VIN would have been 2 or 3. The 04 NBS would have the first digit of 1.

For any 04 F150, it is IMPERATIVE that the model be correctly identified.

Thank you for the clarification and I apologize for my original confusion. The VIN does start with #1. Ford VIN decoder says it's a 5.4l supercrew shortbed XLT manufactured by US Ford.
