Default No power to blower motor after replacing alternator

Read through lots of other posts on the blower motor for our truck and at this point am stumped as I think the circumstances around my issue are unique.

Driving home last Friday I see my voltage gauge start to drop pretty rapidly. I turned off all accessories and made it home just in time before my truck completely died. Saturday morning I replaced the alternator, and charged up the battery and she started right up and the new alternator maintained 13.5-14 volts. After changing the alternator the AC blower will not come on.

I checked every single fuse and relay in the truck and even changed out the fuses in the AC circuitry just in case. I bench tested the blower motor and it powers right up. The EMTC has power to it as I can hear the actuator doors move when I switch the system on and the A/C LEDs light up as well. I can hear the A/C clutch engage and as I said the Blower motor relay engages as well. The only thing I have not messed with is the resistor, but I understand that with the resistor you will lose a couple of speeds but will maintain hi. After reviewing the wiring diagram it appears the blower motor is grounded through the resistor. Is it possible the resistor went bad and now isn't grounding the motor properly? Does that even make sense? I'm open to suggestions at this point, but I am not ready to give up and go to a dealer...I know the second I bring it in they are going to find out its something stupid...what am I missing? Thanks for the help!

Default fan blower resistor

I'm not sure if I had the same problem you did, but I just needed to put in a new fan blower resistor. The fan would not do anything on the low or medium, but would turn on when I switched to high. It was a simple 10 minute fix and I bought the part at the local auto store for $20. It's definitely worth trying.

Just kick it or tap it pretty hard. In ur passenger side right under the dash there is the black ac and has the blower motor in there mine does the same but a lil kick or a god tap to that box while the ac switched to on the sucker turns right up. Saves u a trip to the dealer for sure.

Default Had my brother look at it

I had already replaced the resistor and bench tested the blower motor...

Needed a second set of eyes...the connectors in the central junction box for the blower motor relay were not tight around the blower motor relay...we tightened them up and everything now works fine...the relay just was not getting a good connection to power the motor...glad I didnt take it to the dealer, I'm sure they would have had me buying a new CJB...

I have checked the plug that gose on the resistor and it fits tight. Are there other plugs or connections I should be checking? My 06 is doing the same thing. Blower only runs on posistion 3 and 4. 1 and 2 are dead. I used the defogger on the way home from work this morning for the first time and found the blower problem.

Your indication of no blower motor is it the air not coming out the vents. if the flappers not working maybe motor is running .Test for volts on motor plug. How about the ground being bad . Corrosion !!!!
