Year, motor, etc?? If you want the best fix, a Timesert is the only way to go.

Youll need a rethread helicoil kit, and its not exactly an easy job. They make a special heli-coil kit that has multiple reamers and taps. My local auto parts store lets me borrow thier master set and just pay for the heli-coils I use, I dont do enough of these to warrant buying a $300 tool.

its a 2006 2wd 4.6 2v im lost bad talked to 4 shops noone will do it said it will just happen again it only has 103 k on it ford said they will do it without lube r u kidding me lol

i did plugs at 75k and ford said i over tighten them i did it by alldata which said 11ft lbs im so lost

Common problem with the 97-03 2V motors, this is the first I've heard of it on a 04+ 2V motor. It blew because of too little torque not too much.

i seen the calvin tool and the timesert tool the the calcan said it goes to 97-2004 i thought it was the same motor tell 2008

Dear god, please don't let the blown out spark plug be a problem on 04+ 4.6's... That's one of the biggest reasons I avoided a 97-03.

cant seem to find anything on a 4.6 with the timesert is it the same as the 5.4 seen a couple threads on that
