Default Blackened look

I already have the harley davidson headlights and a smoked 3rd brake light now I cant decide what to get for taillights for my 04 f150 fx4.. Any ideas? pictures? I want the complete black out but I dont like how you cant see anything when you are going in reverse.

I would just paint the tail lights black. It is a cheap way to add to that blackout look. In my opinion LED tail lights are just not worth it.

Niteshades! If done right it can look great! Here's some reading material. The OP of this thread also has another one I couldn't find at the moment.

well you could either tape off your reverse lights then do them with nite shade or you could just niteshade the whole things and just wire up some reverse lights under the truck.

Well you could always get the Harley tails to match your Harley headlights. It's not complete black out but def. darker and it looks good

I couldn't disagree more. Yes a can of nightshades is WAY cheaper. But LEDs look MUCH better, especially at night... If I remember tonight I'll take some night pics... Besides the fact that my lights are 50 state legal, and DIY lights are not because you have to have x-amount square inches of high reflective surface....

I'm very partial to the Harley tails, but they may not be dark enough for your tastes. IMO, they go great with the the HD (aka limited or FX2) headlights.

Side by side, the HD tails kinda look like a lightly nightshaded set of stock tails. The lens is slightly tinted, and the housing (non-reflecting sections) is black underneath.

Behold:

Just my $.02.

I would have to say go with what Rollingthunder said about the LEDs. Here is some of mine to get you thinking.
