I mean put your 6 inch strut spacer on. That gives you a 6 inch lift in the front. Then add one of these...

http://www.shockwarehouse.com/site/p...-Leveling-Unit

That will give you another 1.5-2 more inches, putting you at about 8 inches of lift in the front.

Then buy whatever size corresponding block to lift the rear level with the front of your truck.

Then put some big m*f* tires on it.

My only concern in doing this myself is that I am not sure if this will make your front end un-alignable. I dont believe it will but has anyone else done this that can tell us?

Wow! Looks much cleaner!...
You can really see the slight angle on that spacer in those pics... The angle is there to tilt the shock inward so the upper control arm doesn't contact the spring I believe.

After much research and calling around the only company I found that sells them is www.topguncustomz.com. 307 shipped. I got new strut mounts from rock auto for somthing like fifty apeice. Every place i called including summit racing said bilstein didnt make such a thing. I wouldnt put a spacer on top of the six in spacer the strut mount being half way down interfers with the upper control arm and a freind of mine who did it had the six in spacer break at the welds while towing his camper. Im puttin a 2in spacer on mine to put me at 11in. I was goin to reuse my 1.5 truxx spacer but when i took them off to put the lift on i realized both are bent at the top. Guess they couldnt handle a little agressive off roading lol

That bilstein strut swap looks very good! I might do that but have a concern that it looks a bit long and slender to hold the weight of the truck. Is it as sturdy as the strut spacer? The spacer looks a little more heavy duty to me but I could be wrong.

Bilstein makes some of the best struts in the world. Ive seen spacers break at the welds and bend at the top during agressive offroading. Infact i bent a set of mine back straight today. Id say the bilsteins are far stronger than the stock strut and ride great

Thanks man. All my research has also confirmed that the bilsteins are extremely durable.

i put those bilsteins on my truck.. made a world of difference over the strut spacer crap. I have a zone 6" and it rides much smoother. i plan to add a 2" level on it and a AAL in the back for ~8" lift

Hey Bubba you said you got new strut mounts? What are strut mounts? You mean like a leveling spacer for on top?... also if its not, did you add any spacer or anything to the 6 inch bilstein? Because I am thinking about doing the swap like you did but adding another 2 inches via spacer on top of the coil but am wondering if this has been done. Im worried it will ruin my alignment.

Or TIM have you heard of anyone doing this and if they had alignment problems? Because I dont want to pull my a arms in so much that my camber is off and my wheels get chopped.
