Default Billet grill install

Hey just got my grill in the mail today doesn't have the surround it said on the website some cutting needed just wondering how hard this is to change? Stock grill is honey comb style and here is a picture of the new one.

personally grill inserts are a big PITA, I installed the insert myself and it took tops of 2 hours because the eBay ones don't fit and have ****ty instructions.. sorry man and good luck

I hear ya these instructions are chit. Do you actually have the cut the shell?

I purposely avoided the style that you have to cut the grille. It's a pita and a lot of work. Plus, if you screw up your cuts there is no going back lol. I spent a little extra money and got the T-Rex replacement. MUCH nicer! It replaces the entire honey comb grille and looks a lot nicer. It's an old pic, but here is a close up of it..

I didn't think it was going to be that much cutting when ordered it. Should have done my research obviously, oh well now to decide whether to attempt it or not I can't even find a used shell to use if I do F this one up

That would be my next recommendation, see if you can find a wrecked 150 or someone selling a used grille and use it as a guinea pig, then replace yours with the grille already mounted in the used shell

Just picked up my used grill for 20 bucks. Going to attempt the insert later today.
