Default Big 3 upgrade problems

I just did the big three upgrade. i had been running the ground to frame and frame to engine block for about a week with no problems

today i received a fuse holder i received from ebay and installed the last piece. which was the positive wire running from the battery to the alternator

As soon as i turn on the truck and take it for a spin, the truck starts sputtering and the battery icon comes on, eventually the truck turned off..

anyone else experience this?

Did you remember to plug in the harness for the alternator? Can you get some pics?

i stayed using the same 8 gauge wire that it had because ive seen threads saying that the current will go to the wire with less resistance thus being the 0 gauge wire

so both are on right now, still have headlight dimming problems but not as much

only problem now is that my trucks stalls and the battery light is showing up on the speedometer. ill try to get pics in the later

Did you remove the alternator at all? Is the new wire firmly attached and not grounding out on anything?

no I did not remove the alternator

and also no the positive is not touching any grounds at all. I just removed the nut holding the stock 8 gauge positive terminal and added the 0 gauge in there also and retightend it
