Default Best programmer

What is the best programmer for a 2006 F150. With the 5.4L? Thanks.

That's a loaded question! It's a bit like asking which woman you should marry. Do lots of research, or get more specific in your question. What do you want to do with it?

I am looking for something for maximizing horsepower and torque when towing. And a better mileage mode when not

A SCT SF3 3015 model tuner will net you 22 horses to the wheels and 20 feet of torque on a stock 5.4 engine.

I've never had a programmer, seen one or even knew about them until I got this truck.. I thought they were only for Diesels.. I went with the most basic one, the regular ole Edge Evolution for $300ish. Plenty of forum posts about them, been around for quite a few years, good reviews and plenty of people to ask information/suggestions/troubleshooting problems to...I was going to get a SCT Livewire from my buddy, but there just wasn't enough support or forum posts about them. Chances are, they work great and won't run into much trouble, but I went with the smart decision. I'm super satisfied with the Edge Evolution.. I'd look at the Edge CS or CTS.. Just depends on how much you want to spend. All should be great. I have a buddy with a Bullydog, SCT Livewire, Edge CTS/CS, and they all love them
