There is a USB wire, that connects to the back of the unit. I have it run into that little cubby under the in dash cupholders.

The Pioneer FHX730 in post above has on on the lower right side but you can’t really see it in the pic cause it has a small flip cover. That was one reason I got it but to be honest the biggest factor was price for me. I saw some Alpines and Kenwoods and more expensive Pioneers but I didnt specially check for the USB in the front. BestBuy seems to always has good deals with a pretty good selection best to go check it out.

I got this for mine:

I absolutely HATE touch screens (they're inherently unsafe for several reasons, not to mention annoying) and simply wanted something for BT music pairing. It easily pairs with my iPhone, handles phone calls easier than Apple Carplay, and sounds perfectly fine through the factory sub and speakers (which required a separate wiring harness via Crutchfield to eliminate interference and power the sub). It has USB jack and AUX jacks. The truck's a 2004... $150 is pretty much the max of what I was willing to spend on a comfort/convenience item for it. My ONLY gripe is that there is no setting to permanently keep the clock as the main display, I have to hit the clock button. However, even with thick, heavy canvas gloves on cold mornings or while working, all buttons/volume **** are easy to access/manipulate.

Asking which head unit is the best is like asking which car is the best. To many variables, options, preferences, etc.
All this thread will be are going to be people posting what they have that works for them.
