Default Best aftermarket head unit

Just bought my first f150, 2005 Lariat supercrew with 140k, and I’d like to have something with Bluetooth for phone connection and possibly better sound quality

Alpine is always is always the best, Kenwood is probably a close second

I'm by no means an audiophile. I just wanted CarPlay and a decent sound upgrade. Absolutely love my Sony.

I have an Alpine X208u. Sound quality is absolutely off the charts. Even with the factory speakers. GPS and Bluetooth work great. Have not yet had a chance to connect the backup camera. I do not regret my purchase at all. Well worth every cent.

Get one with the features you want and compare. Crutchfield is a good place for research. I have a KENWOOD and love it.

Head unit was $185 installed and the kickers were $200. Well worth it!

Over the years I've installed Kenwoods, Alpines and Pioneers. All have been great. My biggest gripe is the lack of a rear support for the aftermarket double DIN's. The plastic mounting plates will eventually fail if you do a lot of 'wheeling or drive rough roads. As the mounting plate starts to break, the head unit starts disappearing into the dash....

I've put nothing but Pioneers in my vehicles since I was 15. Just put this in my truck a month ago, and really like it.
Blends into the dash nicely, almost looks like it came stock.
