Question Bed rail covers

What's under the plastic bed rail cover and how does it come off?
I guess I should mention I have a 2006 super crew

OEMs just have little tabs/clips that hold them in place. You're likely to snap them off when you take the covers off.

One of mine flew off in a wind storm so I replaced both. I cleaned the bed rail with alcohol and used clear silicone down the middle and some bada!! Double stick tape on the sides before I put the new ones down. I have an 06 also with the short bed. New side rails were $200+ from FORD. Plastic side rails for that much.......who would have thunk it

Thanks for the info. I tried to peek under to see if there are stake pockets. Looks like there are. If there is, I am using one to mount an antenna in the front passanger side .
I'll post pictures for anyone interested.

For what, a CB?

Having a fire stick right behind the cab will diminish the distance you will be able to transmit a little, but it shouldn't make a huge difference if you tune it right.

No, I'm an amateur radio operator. I've had my antenna mounted in that very spot on all my trucks since the late 80's.
I'm a machinist so I always make a mount that fits in the stake pocket. It makes for a nice clean install. I hate to see wires. I'll make sure I document what I do to post. I'll be honest though. It will probly be after winter. This isn't my favorite time of year to work outside.

Yup, 2m and 440 (70cm). It'll be a dual band radio. I need to sell the radio that was in my old truck first to buy what I want for the "new" truck. I do have the antenna so if I have time and the weather cooperates I may at least get the antenna mounted.
