Default Bed covers need help

Lookin into a cover for my truck bed. i'm interested in seein what you guys use and recommend i would like to store my tools in the bed. do they make ones that lock? that dont cost a arm and a leg. i also will every once in a while have to load large AC units on the back so those hard ones will probably not work, right?

My cover is paint matched fiberglass and does lock. It was on the truck when I bought it but I wanted one anyway. It was like $875 according the receipt I found in the glovebox.

i have the Undercover hard cover on my truck and it locks and has gas shocks to lift it, i like the cover because it is not painted so i dont have to wax it but its black on my black truck so it looks good. the only problem with it is that it caused wear spots in my paint right where the bedrail covers end in some spots. right at the cab side where the corners rub while its open and on the rear where it must move around while driving, the rear one is warn down to the bare metal. but thats just mine, may have been installed wrong but it was on when i bought it. that was about $750 i believe

Wow that's pretty expensive. Where did you buy it? Seems to be a very nice truck bed cover for that price. I want to save up to buy that too.

I have the Bakflip G2 on my truck and even though it does not have a built in lock when you lock the tailgate it is secure. The top is mostly metal so it is very durable. The best feature is that fact that it flips up all the way to the cab for carrying larger items. This weekend I put 4 mattresses in the back and it is nice to be able to fold the cover up. It is very light and IMHO it works well for me. I believe it run around $739 and I think you can get free shipping from Bakflip. You can see a pic in my profile.

Just my .02 cents. Good luck with whatever you go with.
