Default bed Caps

Does anyone have a bed cap on there truck?

I just ordered a leer 100XR with headliner, removable front slider window and the built in gun vault. it was like $1600 installed and out the door.

Will this cap have a dramatic result on my MPG?

You made a good choice with Leer! They may cost more than ARE and the others but the quality is worth it. I myself went with the Leer fibreglass tonneau cover

It added weight, so your MPG may drop slightly.

But Leer does make a great quality topper.

I have a leer 100 r on my little Nissan and love it that is why I got a cap for me f150, I found I can not live with out one on a truck.

It takes the truck to a new world, you get the benefits of a SUV with the advantages of a truck bed. I can put stuff in the back and it be safe and protected but during hunting season I can toss a deer in the back and not worry about the blood.

I got the gun vault with plains of putting all my little stuff in it like the jumper cables, flairs and such and maybe my fishing poles and during hunting season my pistol.

If you travel, they also make for a dry place to sleep in as well. A good air mattress, and you have a nice camper.

When I bought this truck I already knew I would put a cap on it, so I got the 6.5' bed so if I decide to go on a hunting trip or something happens I would have a place to sleep. If I was a younger single guy it would also server as a place to with a girl friend.

I already have an idea of what my truck should look like with it on. on the brochure for the 100 XR they show a ford f150 super crew. with the exception of the gray rocker panel and the chrome running boards the truck is the same as mine.

I've had caps on most of my trucks but this one I decided not to biggest reason I would be able to throw my quad in the back instead of trailering well I'm really missing it I've taken a couple of hunting/fishing trips and without the cap you are limited to how much you can fit in

I don't mind pulling my trailer but since it is illegal to ride in jersey it's good not to have the trailer attached to truck when your parked along the road this way it will look like your out for a morning stroll not a ride on your quad although I really don't ride much anymore I should just put a cap back on, my quad has turned into more of a plow vehicle then a pleasure vehicle

I take my trailer all the time when I am deer hunting with ot with out a 4 wheeler.

why it is illegally to ride a 4 wheeler in Jersey?

How much doe these caps weight?
Last one I took off (like 20 years ago) was not all that heavy, I was able to take it off the truck by my self.
