Default Battery Dead

Have to buy a new battery. Was checking out different ones and was wondering if anyone has tried these and how they performed. Optima redtop-Exide select orbital. Also in a regular battery Exide nascar select which has the highest cca of a regular battery. 2005 f150 5.4

I have been using exide batteries for a couple years, never had any issues, obviously batteries go bad over time, but the one in my old escort was 6 years old before it craped out.

Had a red top in the garage for 4 years (not used). Battery in F150 took a dive, put in the Optima and it has been working no problem for 7 months.

The battery that came in my truck was a piece of ****. It gave me problems from the beginning. Even had the truck towed to the dealer to get it replaced under warranty because it died so many times in a new truck. All they did was charge the battery up, say there was nothin' wrong with it, and steal my gps.

Well, the truck died again two days ago after sittin' in the driveway for a week. Finally got sick of the damn thing and went to Advanced Auto today to pick up a new battery. I got their second best battery that has 750 cca and a two year warranty. Their best one was 850 cca and a three year warranty. It's made by Autocraft. Never tried one of their batteries before, and don't really know anything about them, but it's gotta be better than the piece of crap that I had.

For every bad there is a good. My original FoMoCo battery in my 2005 lasted up to 4 months ago, and even then it tested just under half it's expectancy; I replaced it for insurance with another 84 month FoMoCo battery from my dealer for $84.00. I've had FoMoCo batteries in all my Fords; never had problems with them.

In all fairness this is the first Ford battery I've had a problem with. My dad just replaced the stock battery in his '08 F150 Limited, but that's because it's died a few times due to him workin' in Afghanyland and only drivin' it a few times a year. The last time it died, it wouldn't hold a charge, so it was replaced.

I put an Interstate into mine. 850CCA with 85 month warranty. Paid $96.00. My truck cranks so quick now.
