Default Battery dead

Well i just got my truck on march and i tend to listen to music while im working outside but the darn thing always runs out of juice might it just be old it wont last over ten minutes

Should the radio on run the batterydead that fast i mean ihave an altima that can go for a hour before it goes dead

Could be a number of things. If the battery is factory I would replace it, check the charging system. If you run an amp, it will draw a lot of power.

Test the voltage while idling @ the battery.. should be 13.8vdc or more. have somebody rev your motor then back to idle and watch the voltage. Amp draw from the alternator is around 2.2

It helps quite a bit to give additional details such as the year of your truck. For example, is the truck a 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007? If so, and it has the original battery, then it's due for a change, as auto batteries are good for about 4 to maybe 5 years. Even the 2008 to present could last less than 4 years if there's a heavy load placed on them. Temperatures can also force a battery to fail early.

If you do not know the age of the battery, take it to any Ford service; they will load test it for free, and it takes only about 5 minutes of your time, provided the service center is not swampped. Even some of the larger parts stores can do this.

Christmas is coming; ask Santa for a portable radio. This too can save on your truck battery.
