Default Ball joints perhaps?

Hi everyone, I noticed a horizontal wobble after taking off the tire on my truck. I also hear a loud click or pop when braking at times. It doesn't happen every time I brake though. So see below in the YouTube video I posted:

Let me know your thoughts on what this could be. I didn't see any leaking from the boot on the ball joints.

Thanks!

Personally I think it's moving too freely to be a ball joint especially with that clank....Bearing maybe or tie rod??
Can you get your ear or a stephascope close enough to it to tell where.......Movie is fast....have another set of eyes from back side & underneath
when you move it !!

Ball joints are up/down play. That's either a tie rod or bearing.

Here's another video. Didn't seem to be the tie rods.

First put a couple of nuts back on to hold the rotor....That may eliminate the clunk !!
I did see your caliper (& pins) moving & it also appears to have just been recently replaced !!
Who replaced them?? Check the 2 bolts that hold the caliper to that frt. spindle assembly something is maybe loose...
Also check the axle nut or maybe there is a keeper in there..That whole assembly seems to be moving back on the axle...so something is loose or missing ...Hard to tell in that movement what is actually moving

The clunking stops whenever nuts are back on, but the play still exists even when the tire is on. The passenger side doesn't have play side to side like the driver's side.

I checked the bolts holding the caliper on and they are tight. Yes, the front brakes have been replaced recently. I did notice on both sides on the axle there is a rubber gasket or grommet type piece that has come out and is just dangling loosely on the axle. Any idea what that is and if it's important?

Ok good we lost the clunk ....However I'm not familiar with a 4x4 axle & how or what holds it into the spindle assembly... We have to find out where & what is moving??
The spindle assembly doesn't move persay (especilly in & out ) so I'm thinking that axle does & I could be wrong But I think it should be held in with a nut...
Can you tell exactly what is now moving in & out....... is the bearing & Iwe tight....Guessing the axle should have some movement in & out if it's not attached correctly it has to @ least flex in & out with your wheel as you go down the road...but nothing like in your movie....If its the whole spindle assembly that is moving in & out it has to be: tie-rod, or wheel bearing I would think ....ball joints should be more in & out movement (top to battom) & should unless falling out a little hard to move !!

That o-ring whatever I would think is part of a seal....you are gonna have to inspect where it goes & replace I would think.....

Bronson77, you do realize this is an F150 forum? You'd be much better off in an F250/F350 forum.

I took another video and it seems the boot on the tie rod is cracked, but not sure if it's totally broken or not. You can see the movement on the tie rod as I shift the tire around. When I do the passenger side the same way it doesn't clank like that. Everything is tight on the hub and the rotor.

If it's indeed the tie rod would this be considered the outer tie-rod end? If so, are those usually around $170 for one end? I've seen some big price differentials and wanted to make sure I got the right part.
