I got a 06 SCAB 4x4 XLT with 75,000 on it. Bout a week ago I noticed when i turn to the left it makes this grindy sound like old hinges on a door. No sound whatso ever when turing right. It makes the noise when stationary and while driving. From center to right no noise, from right back to center no noise, from center to left, it sounds like hell but from full left back to center or right, no noise. I know a thing or two but not much as far as troubleshooting what exactly the failed part is. I can R and R all day. Plese give me yalls opinions. Thanks

 

cv joint?

 

I've heard one other person mention that. BTW i have a HBS 2.5 leveling kit to, and havin that on there has the UCA at a weird angle. But would a cv joint do that?

its either the wheel bearing or lower balljoint.

 

Noises when turning are usually CV joint related. Could be ball joint too. Check the rubber boots on the axles (CV joints) for tears, or grease. If so, time to replace for sure.
