It's the one with your A/C clutch relay in it.

Oh yeah I had a Pontiac Grand Prix that used the headlights. I know all about changing bulbs, but really changing bulbs is changing bulbs, price not withstanding.

It does look like there may be a difference by model. The diagrams show two types of boxes, one for 4x4 and/or DRL equipped and one for 4x2 no DRL. So it may only be the 4x4 guys that get prewired.

I agree, just saying that's the reason I wouldn't just add the relay to mine if it wasn't legally necessary.

Well we have a new ohio law that says you must have your head lights when your wipers are on in Ohio and I get an insurance break to have DRLs so it is worth it to me. My alternative would be to increase the sensitivity on my auto head lights but that does not seem possible. So I will look for the empty relay socket. Has anyone done this and had success?

Another option would be to paint the daylight sensor so your truck always thinks it's dark.

Well I looked at my fuse box under the hood where the owners manual says the drl relay is supposed to be. Problem is that it is an empty socket, no terminals for the relay to connect to so maybe we are not wired for drls after all.

Any ideas? Has anyone ever wired an '06 for DRLs?

I guess I would be ok with faking the auto head light sensor out a bit too but dont want all the lights on all the time. Seems like the interior lights would have a reduced life also...

Ok, there are actually two DRL relays. Circuit runs like this:

Hot at all times -> relay turned on by hot in start -> relay turned off by low beam circuit -> DRL resistor (unknown resistance) -> splices to the low beam ciruit to turn on lights
