Default Audiophile System Speaker Components

After have awful results searching for the actual size of the audiophile speakers (a lot of inaccurate info), I had a chance to check for myself when I was doing the slow power window TSB.

So, here's what you got (at least in an 06): 4 " components, woofer and crossover on a plate in the stock location and tweeters above:

Behind the grill (woofer/crossover out):

Tweeter (back):

Woofer/Crossover (Back):

Yeah, this set up is plenty good for the power output of the stock head unit. I'll only upgrade if I do a full external amp and 6.5" component setup.

Why would you debate on puttin tweeters in? I put JL tweeters in mine and the difference was night and day, then i added a sub and that just made it sound even better. all on stock unit! touchscreen comin soon.

Default what to add?

I installed the factory sub, and ran the factory wiring since I didn't have it from the driver kick panel back.. but I wanted to get better sound from the doors, I have the 6x8's in there now... I've tried to find the factory sub/tweet set but can't locate it...what can I put in there for some awsome sound off the factory head unit... I changed all the LED's and the lens in the stock head unit to blue to match the rest of the truck so I want to keep it.

Depends a lot on personal taste. I would go with high sensitivity round components (5 1/4" or 6 1/2"). Adapter plates are cheap.

You don't have to get rid of the stock headunit to use an amplifier, either.

i have a speaker out of a 500 limited, it has the woofer and tweeter on the 6x8, similar to the 04 down audio phile speakers(which i have mine). it is similar to that speaker you have there.
