I screwed my up. I had one of the flat cardboard air fresheners in between the ashtray and the console. I don't like crap hanging from my mirror. Anyway, the oil from the air freshener bubbled the finish on the front bottom part of my ashtray.

I've been to OEM parts places online tonight but none of them list the ashtray even in the search.

Thanks, I appreciate it.
Sorry man, I have it but I am holding on to it for when I trade it in or go another direction with my radio setup.

The one below the stereo is a Uniden BCD-996T digital scanner. Very sweet scanner and I highly recommend this one to anybody in the market. The "CB" is actually a Yeasu FT-2800M 2meter HAM radio, not a CB.

Would it be possible for you to take a closer shot of the ashtray area?

Not real sure exactly what you are wanting to see but here is one I took of the bracket I made to hold the 2m. The ashtray attaches with those same 2 screws that are holding that bracket. There is really a lot of room back there. The area below that radio all the way to the floor of the truck is a big cavity. I am working on a bracket to mount a power inverter down in there and I will remote mount the plugs and power switch into the black panel where the cigarette lighter is.

snakecharmer,

if you dont mind me adding to the flurry of questions.... how did you mount the scanner? I just installed my alpine, was scratching my head trying to figure out how to mount something where the pocket is now.

I don't have any pictures of the new scanner being installed but I did snap some when I installed my old BCT8. The BCT8 is not meant to dash mount and so it just had screws on the side like a CB that I screwed into the Double DIN bracket. The New BCD996 is made to be DIN mountable either by using a sleve like a regular aftermarket stereo of in an ISO DIN configuration. That bracket is made for either a single double DIN radio or 2 mounted in ISO DIN on top of each other which is what I did. If you dont know what ISO DIN is. look at how the bracket screws directly into holes on the side of the pioneer without use of a sleeve. That is IDO din and is the same way the new scanner moints directly below it. The trim part of the radio kit just butts up against the front of the radios. They can not be removed from the front without dissasembling the dash and removing the bracket unlike the sleeve mounting option. Not a problem in this truck because there is plenty of room to get behind them to mess with connections if I need to and it is very solid. I also installed a strap to support the weight of the radios on the back. It is jst attached to a steel tube under the storage pad on top of the dash.

The bracket kit is a Metra #99-5807. It is made to mount either one radiop with a pocket, 2 single DIN radios or a single Double DIN radio so you dont use all the pieces. I only used the larger side brackets and the double DIN trim panel.

thats the same kit I have for my alpine, only it does not have a removeable pocket. I will have to order one from crutchfield when I get my Ipod adapter from them this week. Thanks for the insight! I think you just talked me into flush mounting a full size switch box to control my blue lights below my alpine
