Default Armrest Height

I have the center jump seat in my F-150, and I was looking to replace it with a center console. Is the height the same on the center console lid as the top of the jump seat with the back folded down? The height on the jump seat is perfect for me and my wife and don't want anything that is going to be lower than that.

Thanks in advance.

This interests me, also. I was thinking about heading down to the local wreckers and seeing if I could find the stock center console and floor shifter to replace my fold down console unit.

if you want to go the floor shifter route, you are going to have to get the whole dash as it is completely different.

I have the captains seats with center console and armrests. I put my arm on the consoleand lean against the arm rest. its a bit too high up for me, I guess I have long arms. but the console is a bit low but doesnt bother me at all

I have the captains seats also and I just measured from the raised hump behind the center console to the top it where my arm rest and it was roughly 15.5". As far as the armrest height, I have power seat that I can make go up and down so that really varies. I keep the seat all the way down and it seems perfect to me but I may just be used to it. Hope that helps you!

my armrests are attached to my seat but I could just move the seat down some to rest on the console more comfortably.

i have the power seats also. and like everyone else i keep it down so i can be more comfortable. plus i dont like my head against the top of the truck. i have to go out and measure from my hump in the back to the top of the console. thanks for doing that for me.

No problem and my armrests are the the center console. I dont have additional armrests attached to the seat. The top of the console is padded to rest my arm on. I have an automatic with the gear selector in the console if that matters.
