Default Anybody have any insight on this code

This code I know indicates some sort of tranny malfunction but my trans is shifting and working as it should. My 4wd on the other hand is messing up. Only working when it's not making a grinding sound while trying to be engaged. Woild that cause it? The code gets thrown in 2wd too.

It would probably be something to do with your transfer case then not the transmission

Well I typed that code into google search and it sees to be a trans sensor/wiring harness that is likely.

This is a little old and it was just a bad sensor .. http://www.fordforums.com/f610/ford-...-p1783-148608/

This refers to the temp sensor or the harness...http://engine-codes.com/p0712_ford.html

...time to change the fluid and filter?
