Default Any advice?

Hello everyone,
I am looking to buy a 2008 ford f-150 supercrew limited with the 5.4L engine. Do anyone owns or already owned this truck before ? I am wondering if i'm making a good choice on that truck. It has 170 000 km on it.
Thanks alot!

Could go either way with that type of mileage on it... the engine build date was possibly after Ford designed everything better, but there's no telling what kind of maintenance the P/Os did or didn't do to it. Check the maintenance records if you can, get the truck running and listen for sounds both when cold and at hot idle, and test drive under numerous conditions. Listen, feel, look, and smell for anything and everything.

Oh yeah, no way. I probably wouldn't spend more than $9,000-10,000 for it.

I own a 2008 xlt screw with 150k miles. I think the KBB on it is only like $13,00 so that price is far too steep. My truck is in great condition and the motor had been taken great care of. Guy I got it from worked at an auto parts store and kept everything up to date. It is your call on the older models, just have to know what you're looking for and make sure to make a good assessment before purchasing. This is the newest vehicle I have ever owned and also the one that has the most miles. With that being said, I know the motor and tranny are still strong and have many more miles left. Good luck with your decision and purchase!

Just so everyone is aware, he's talking 170,000 KM which is about 106,000 Miles. Plus, trucks up in Canada (assuming that is where he is from) are more expensive that the US.

That, and $16,700 Canadian is $14,696 US.
Depending on the condition and options of the truck, it's not too bad of a deal.
