Default Another noise besides phasers??

First history of truck
2004 f150 xlt 5.4l 3v 4x4 162xxx miles ( new body style)
Got the truck in November of 2013 ( 10 months ago)
Don't know history of repairs

Ok now look I know there's a bunch of threads about the phaser blah blah blah but now I've read people saying that the phasers throw the timing off and stuff but my truck runs perfectly fine no codes no vibrations nothing, ok so yea my engine ticks but I'm not sure if it's the phasers or the lash adjusters that people also say that it may not always be the phasers and that's what I need help with. When cold it ticks loud due to high rpms at first start then 10 sec later idle goes down ( which is normal) and the tick quiets down then when I drive it gets loud then when it shifts down if quiets the when it shifts down gets loud so yea need some help. Also if it is the phasers and timing chain and stuff where can I get everything for a reasonable price thanks.

Start with trying to figure out where tick is coming from (ie front, top, left, right etc).

Phaser tick usually is very quiet when cold and gets louder when warm. Per Ford TSB if it goes away above @1200 RPM its "normal". Not sure what you've got going on, but it doesn't sound like a valve train issue as lash adjusters(AKA lifters in pushrod engines) are usually nosier when warm as well.

Is there a way where I can put a sound clip or video without putting a YouTube clip so you guys can hear the noise because if the phasers are quiet then loud mine is opposite it's loud then quiet

Sounds like exhaust manifolds. I had multiple ticks and recently had the cam phaser issue and noise fixed as my trucks timing was off and it stalled frequently at idle. Now I have the exhaust manifold tick. It's loud when cold at start up and for a while after driving around until it's fully warmed up. After being warm for a while it sounds great and there are no ticks. This is caused by a broken stud which then causes the manifold to warp and exhaust to leak out. I've been quoted 700 for labor to replace all studs and to install shorty headers. Headers I found for around 400.

I'm 99.99% sure that this would be an exhaust manifold leak. Very common with our trucks at higher miles and a pain in the butt to tackle. There's not much room to work on the manifolds due to the design and placement of the engine in the chassis.

That sounds like a timing chain rattle when first started. Plus a passenger side exhaust leak that seals up when it gets hot.

The rattle is the chain tensioners draining down from blown out seals. It's also possible that you may just need to change your oil filter..

The exhaust leak will only get worse if you can hear it pretty good while driving. Look for black soot on the exhaust manifold to locate your leak.
