Default Fix for the problem

Go and buy a 20 watt minimum resistor. They are used for many things but the one I bought was used for a load equalizer when installing LED tailights and you don't want them to blink really fast. I got mine at M&O Schucks Auto supply. 2 for 10 bucks. Anyway you only need one. Install it on the trucks stock wiring harness where is plugs into the light bulb. I used the plug that was unused after installing the HIDs. Tie it into the Green/Black, and the center wire. I recommend soldering it for best results. Then mount that resistor somewhere safe because man does it get hot. I almost melted my factory harness if I hadn't caught it in time. Mounted it to the body with metal tire wire. Some resistors come with little holes for mounting but mine didn't. An easy way to test to see if this is all gonna work is plug your old halogen bulb into the unused headlight plug and see if everything works properly then.

[QUOTE=patriciojp;133522]I have a 1999 f150 and I was thinking of getting some HID's for it. What kind of kit should I get and is it easy to install?

The Mustang has the "bulb out problem" where the computer sees the voltage drop from the HID's only using 35w instead of the 55-60w that the halogen bulb required. The computer shuts off the lights because it thinks there is a electrical problem
They make a kit that eliminates that.
