Default Another failed FPDM!!!

So just had to replace my fuel pump driver module, and she was right Chooched, cracked housing, corrosion destroyed the backing and piled up, I scraped off 6 years worth of salt and it was still bunged up, anyways replaced that after I dried the lines empty last night ( oops ) primed it about 6 times and she started up like a dream
And running excellent, better than before, so it was clear that it was on its way out.

Not bad photos for an iPhone lol

Every single one will fail eventually. It's only a matter of time, salt or no salt.

Just got mine from amazon for sixty bucks. Hadn't failed yet, but I wasn't gonna take that chance.

Good grief! 6 years of salt and road grime. Thats impressive. I run two of these. The factory one in its stock location and one next to it driving my second fuel pump. Never an issue but I also keep it reasonably clean under there.

It's not an issue of clean, it's an issue of dissimilar metals (steel and alumnium) touching each other.

Like I said, they will all fail eventually.
