@techrep....swapped the sensor out on the fuel rail this weekend and still same thing.

After messing around with that and messing around with the fuel filter a little bit I got irritated laying under the truck and punched the fuel tank. Tried to start it again and wouldn't you know the truck started.

I'm thinking that the fuel pump is basically on its way out and it apparently intermittent on when it works.

Or is there a filter on the fuel pump? I'm going to drop the tank and see if there is any dirt/crap in there maybe something is going on there.

Thanks for all the help....I'm probably dropping the fuel tank this week while waiting on the pump to get delivered. Will update once that is done.

Looking up fuel pumps....What is the deal with the different model numbers compared to your wheel base?

just going to bite the bullet but of course my 2005 FX4 5.4 short bed supercrew is the 138.5" and apparently is the most expensive one they sell. What is the difference between all of them? Doesn't make sense why the 144" wheel base wouldn't work for mine.

Replaced that back in December. Is there a way that I can troubleshoot/test that to see if i may have just got a faulty one and it went out already?

I did drop the spare and unplug it and check the connection over the weekend to see if there was anything going on with that.

I'm sure Ford has a way, but it's a computer-controlled part, probably not much you can do to test it at home
