Amazon Tire Issue
I Ordered a set of 275/65/18 Cooper STT Pro tires from Amazon last week to put on my 2007. When I got home yesterday a found a set of Cooper ST tires (same size) had been delivered. Now I'm kind of torn on whether to send them back and get what I wanted or just keep these. Prices on both seem to be comparable and I got a good deal at $960 to my door. The STs get good reviews but so do the STT Pros. I emailed the seller and they tried to sway me to keep these saying they are superior to the STT Pros but that they would swap if I wanted. I don't buy it but it's going to be a huge hassle to send these back and wait on another set.
What would you guys do?

I don't plan on paying for shipping since they screwed up. Since I can't seem to get a phone number to talk to a person all I can do is send email through Amazon and wait for a response. Not sure how they plan on me shipping them back.
If you're not going to be happy with them in the long run, send them back, but on their dime. You can contact amazon, but they can only really do something if it was full filled or sold by them.
You could try and squeeze a bit of a refund out of them and keep the tires. Shipping on 4 tires the last time I ordered them was something like $70 ish. Split the difference and get $40 back.

I was thinking of telling them is keep them if they refunded $200 or so. Otherwise I want to get the STT Pros.
They may go for that, but shipping would only cost them maybe $140 to send back the old and to send the new. They'd be foolish to refund you that much (unless they dont have the tires you want) but it's a bit of a greedy amount to ask for, I think you've already said they are comparable tires. Can't hurt to ask, but it sounds like you won't be happy with them if you want that much back.
