intoxicated and having a drink are two different things. .08 blood-alcohol level is considered intoxicated, and illegal to operate a motor vehicle. don't defend this *******.

The guy said intoxicated which means:

Alcohol intoxication (also known as drunkenness or being drunk) is a physiological state occurring when an organism has a high level of ethanol in its bloodstream, or when ethanol otherwise causes the physiological effect known as drunkenness. In humans, common symptoms may include slurred speech, impaired balance, poor coordination, flushed face, reddened eyes, reduced inhibition, and erratic behavior. In severe cases, drunkenness can cause decreased motor response, coma, and even death.

There is no such thing as intoxicated and being able to operate a motor vehicle. The 2 words don't mix.

Well I see calling the OP a dumbass has already been covered.

Don't ever drive through standing water like that. You can't see the bottom of it, you could hydro lock your engine, or worse you could be swept down stream and cause one heck of a mess with emergency responders who now have to rescue your stupid drunk *** because you were too f-ing lazy to find an alternate route and obey a trafic control device.

Did you honestly expect us all to stand up and say "Cool story bro"?

Ummm...recheck your laws:

In Texas, you may be charged with “per se” intoxication if you are caught operating a motor vehicle with a BAC (blood alcohol content) of 0.08 percent. Even if your driving was not impaired due to alcohol, having a BAC over this limit is enough evidence to secure a DWI conviction.

If your BAC is 0.15 percent or higher, you may face more penalties for having an enhanced BAC.
...and furthermore I live in Texas for 12 years and dealt with local law enforcement and ran as a EMT and if you blew a 0.08 you were taking a trip.
