There is only one keypad on the door. Where else would you want one?

Assuming your talking about the key Fob there are numerous after market options or OEM and in most cases you follow programming steps by pressing a series of buttons which is usually included with the instructions.

I picked up a key fob from Napa and programmed it no problem.

My next acquisition will be a fob with remote start from the wrecker's bin, as I believe I found a factory remote start module under the dash.

Not positive on this one but if it is a factory remote starter module you may need an OEM remote starter to be able and sync with the module. I would assume you can do that on your own but may need Ford to do something as well. With todays prices of aftermarket remote starters however it may be cheaper for you to install a complete new system. I would do some research on both and price matching.
