I noticed a little conflict on this code. Some posts say it is a left side sensor, others say the fix is just on the center bar behind the grill. Can someone confirm if this is a difference in what year the trucks are? I am hoping code 42 for a 2007 is the sensor on the front/center, not the left.

2006 Service Manual - Front Sensor for code 42, looks like it's by the hood latch release.
