Default Advice needed!

My 2004 5.4 has about 270k on it. Treated me well until a few months ago. Check engine light came on and it started riding very rough and would not go past 2nd gear.(failsafe mode) It is throwing codes p2112 and p2104. I know that means the actuator is the culprit, but I've also read that the gas pedal assembly could also be involved in the issue. ($600 replacement cost if you can find one) The body of the truck is in great shape, so I have been thinking about getting a reman'd engine and swapping out the old one, (IF I can find one these days). I am also considering just selling the truck, as I have another vehicle (a car). I just really miss my truck! If you were in my shoes would you invest in the repairs for now, bite the bullet and replace the engine, or just sell it?

A replacement engine will not solve this problem. You have to move throttle body, maf all wiring is the same ,pcm same .
This could be throttle body problems ,corroded connectors , dirty maf .
I would put a new throttle body on it, clean all connectors with contact cleaner. Mine was a defective throttle body. it came with a new TPS . I tried a tps first no luck ,cleaned it no luck . ,I suspected a sticking throttle motor or mechanical fault inside TB, plus there is a circuit card inside tb .

I just did quick search in F150Forum and found many answers to the p2112 and p2104 problems. Those answers don't show the problem to be fatal. I would read through the other posts on p2112 and p2104 and consider doing those fixes, some were chafed wires and others were temperature sensor issues. Lots of cheap fixes prior to spending more on things like throttle body.
