Advice on 5.4L engine tick
Well after putting it off I finally took a video to see what yall think the ticking in my engine bay is. The truck has 98,000 miles on it, plugs replaced in February. I'm pretty sure the timing chain tensioners are shot because when I go through a drive through after I press and release the gas it sounds like the chain rattles/ grinds something. I added a screen shot of my torque pro running on my drive home friday. Honestly I don't know what it all means. Trying to read up on everything, but both banks are not near the same.
If it is the dreaded phasers.
1. It sounds like it is just beginning so if I put the repair off for awhile can major damage be done?
2. What's the parts list I'm gonna need? If i do it I'm doing it right. OEM everything go with the previous 5.4 generation chain tensioners check the camshaft and its components. would $2000 be a good estimate on repair?
Any help is appreciated.
I'm in Missouri foot hills for the rest for week so responding might be spotty.

I dont hear the phasers in that video. Sounds like injectors ticking to me. However my truck did just as you said yours does. After warmed up well (usually 30 minutes of driving) when I would give it a little gas and let off as the rpms reached near idle speeds it would rattle quite a bit. I had my timing job done and the findings were one blown tensioner seal and 2 broken chain guides. All of that lead to a clogged oil pick up tube and low oil pressure.
Finally back from my fishing trip. Thank you Badfish. Looks like I'm gonna have the oil pan dropped to see if there is anything in there clogging the the pick up. Goal is keep it have it clean to prolong the inevitable of time/ possible phasers.
I would do it myself but dont have the time right now and the fact that it's an Illinois truck means the runt on the parts is a little more than I want to handle.

Hope you caught lots of fish! I wish I had time to fish LOL. The clogged pick up tube is only part of the problem. Broken chain guides could (although not common) cause timing to jump a tooth or two. They could also cause chain wear resulting in metal particles in the oil. Also if the guides are broken that is likely from a blown tensioner not tightening up and the chain slapping the guides. The blown tensioner can also cause a lack of oil pressure which can cause the phasers to clack. I understand being on a budget both with time and money but I always recommend the timing job be done completely the first time.
