    I have done lots of work in the area of your research that should help a lot. I have found/isolated PIDS for all the Variable Valve Timing system and worked out formulas for them. All the information is posted here:

    I posted an example of my VCT Monitor dashboard screen and attached a 'CSV' file that you can 'import' directly into Torque instead of having to go through the tedious task of entering 14 custom pids.


    Let me know how it works out for you and what readings you are seeing. NOTE: The VVT system is 'closed loop' individually on each bank just like the O2/Fuel Trims. If the VCT Solenoids 'duty cycle' is inconsistent - the PCM is having more trouble positioning cams equally.
