does anybody have one of these and how much does it affect the air flow. i live in the desert and i need the a/c. it says it doesnt effest the air flow that much but i guess you cannot direct the air in the dirwction you want

I have one. It's not bad. You will not have that icy blast you want. I have had it in the vent on both sides of the steering colum and I prefer it on the door side. Another option is the pilar cluster. I have that as well. I'll post up a pic of it in a few. Actually installing the boost/vac gauge I got for Christmas in it right now.

It does have an effect. It slows the air slightly. About like cutting the fan down one notch. And of course you can't aim the air on you. Nice thing is they are only $30 and if you don't like it you can resale it very easily. Always folks looking for them and they fit nearly ever Ford built since 05 and the trucks since 04.
