AC Question
Ok guys.. AC is driving me a little crazy.. The AC in my truck wasn't very cold so I decided to have it checked out. I told them to suck it down fully and recharge. They said it had no leaks which put a smile on my face. AC is definitely colder now however it goes from cold to not as cold and then back again while driving. Going downhill it really kicks in and is super cold and at idle its fine for the most part. I have been reading and people say our trucks turn off the compressor when the truck is at WOT but I rarely hit WOT. Also, I have read that these trucks have issues with the blend door. Heat works perfect though. I can drive around all day with the heat on and it stays hot but the ac can't make up it mind. If you guys have any ideas i would appreciate it. I really would hate to take it to the shop again as i do most repairs myself.

It's bc our fans don't run all the time at idle. When you drive it forces air in, and we get cold air. Very common, very annoying problem. Another sh*tty Ford design. You'll need an efan to fully correct the problem.

Well it's cold at idle and going down hills. When i am driving down the road the AC will go cold to not so cold and back to cold and over and over agin. That's my issue.

yea ive been reading up on the a/c today, i am having the same issues as many others with the air not being very cold at idle and driving through town. i recharged the a/c yesterday and it made a little colder but not cold enough for me lol and not as cold as other cars and trucks I've owned with a/c i would like to install an e-fan setup when i have the coin not just for the air but for the extra hp also
