Default Ac blowing hot

I checked ac pressure in morning, good to go. Blows cold at 60 (lowest setting possible). During noon still pretty cold. But late afternoon, early evening, it starts blowing hot air. The pressure is easy high in the red off the scale. And the low pressure line that is usually covered in condensation is very hot (not sure if from engine heat or ac not working properly). Any suggestions or answers?? Dam this sucks.
*recap, the morning is fine thru early afternoon. But late afternoon onward does not blow cold. *Also noticed the "Auto" led light for climate control is no longer on when I select Auto.

**edit - is it possible an electrical issue can cause it? my ac was fine until one day my battery died, someone assisted me with jumper cables and connected them backwards, sparks flew, cable caught fire briefly until i noticed from across the truck. since then my headlights wont shutoff at all [unless battery unhooked], and ac runs fine, but gets hot later [seems like ac not running right bc the hot air is also un-climatized and humid it seems]. Is it a possible charging system issue?

Take to a shop, have them place on machine to evacuate, check for leaks and recharge correct amount of refrigerant. A low system can perform well early, then poorly in the afternoon.

Knowing this, take it to a dealer and get it accessed and repaired correctly. Then send the "someone" the bill!

Lol, the odd thing is i don't trust dealers and mechanics in general. Too many times with BS charges or incorrect diagnosis. I trust you guys on here now than people than stand to make money from me.
Plus I cannot afford it. I don't have much money if any at all.

You can go "rent" a gauge set from O'Reilly's and see what is going on with the pressures. My guess is that the charge is is low and it's cycling off and on. Then you take the gauges back and get your money back.
Costa you nothing but time.

Thx buddy, I literally just got picked up gauges and vacuum pump tonight just in case. Pricey, but at least I get the money back.
