Default ABS warning light

Ive noticed whenever i go on a long trip that my abs light comes on. When it does i do not lose braking power or anything like that. Is there a sensor that could be dirty or something along those lines?

i was stuck pretty good in some mud spinning my wheels and my parking brake light and abs light both came on. i think i pissed her off, hah.

you should have you abs codes read, its most likely just a wheel sensor.

My abs light comes on whenever it rains. I had the speed censor in the rear replaced. I have had it at the dealer 3 times! I just ignore it now and it goes off in a few days... They said when it's on my abs will not work but the brakes will work. They checked the connectors my be the control box I don't remember what it's called but it cost 500 dollars or more.... Not worth that much to me.

While back I was driving on about 10 miles of gravel roads and eventually my ABS light came on. This is because it detected a pretty consistent difference in wheel speeds with the back doing some spinning. Light went off when I restarted.

Is there any chance that it would come on due to worn brakes? or the sensors are coated with brake dust?
