Exclamation Abs Light On

Evening:
I left my lights one morning and had to have it jumped. After that the ABS light came on and has stayed on. I has tried to re-set by pulling battery cable off and hooking up a code reader..nothing works. I Never had any problems before the battery going dead with anything. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks!!

What year/model?

Most generic code readers wont read or clear an ABS code/light, and a dead battery shouldn't cause the problem. If I had to guess, you may have fried the ABS ECU or a speed sensor with the jumper cables (not too likely but it is possible) or something went wrong in the ABS system at the wrong time (meaning its not related to the dead battery/jump start, but just ended up happening at the same time)

2004 F150 5.4L 4x4 Supercrew. I hope its not the ECU but how do I check that to see if it is bad?

now this is bugging me too i have a 05 f150 and when i start driving normally sometimes i feel pulsing under my brake pedal and then the sob falls all the way to the floor with my abs malfunction light turns on.

btw the pulsing doesn't feel normal it feel like.... grinding i guess would be the best way to put it.

Also this happens way more frequent if i start driving hard.

I know what your talking about with a "spongy" pedal. That weak pedal caused me to hit a Chevy Avalanche one afternoon. Since then, I have been told that Ford is known for weak rotors and should look into ceramic pads and slotted and drilled rotors...

Also, has anyone figured out a fix for squeaky headliner...sounds like its come from the right above the rear window.

also anyone know if ts worth it to get wider tires?

would that mess with my abs or is it just a waste because i am running on 225/65/17 now i wanted to goto 235 but i do not know if i should... hm

I don't see it messing with ABS...The ABS sensor is a part of the brake assembly and shouldn't be effected by bigger or wider tires. The ABS is not effected with lift and bigger rims and tires..but I could be wrong..hopefully some body will fill in the blanks here for us because I want to put bigger tires on my truck also..
