I bought A 2006 f-150 with soft almost going to the floor brake petal. I replaced this abs pump pictured, and A new master cylinder that was bench blead. I am still getting soft brake petal that almost goes to the floor, when I pump the brakes 3 times while going down hill, the pedal feels firm. I have access to A scan tool with ABS bleed. So do I let the scan tool run the ABS motor while I have A friend mush the brake petal while I open the bleeder screws? Or how do I get the air out of the ABS pump motor assembly?

If I'm not mistaken, the module is the black plastic piece that bolts on the pump aluminum piece the brake lines screws in. It was the whole assembly I got from A parts yard.

what you could do is if it's just your pump that's bad... take your old abs module off and put it on the new pump... then there would be no need to reprogram.

I don't know which one is bad. My local shop said it was the ABS pump assembly since I put new calipers and new master cylinder and was still getting soft petal. I was just trying to save money doing it myself, I thought I just needed to ABS bleed. I don't quite know the procedure. I could swap them like you said, but still would like to know how to ABS bleed with A scan tool.
